So we took our Holiday a little too seriously and extended it to March. It was cold and we stayed in for the most part. So the news is that Smitty is moving on to the capital of our country and Stevens will easily be taking his spot while our wonderful dude friend Bobby Witchger will be taking over the drumkit. Changes and exciting times.

During our Holiday we spent a lot of time learning some INXS tunes which we played at the Raleigh Undercover Benefit. Look for some videos here soon. We also had a show at the PourHouse in Feb. from which we got a live recording which we'll be hopefully getting online soon. Check back soon for more and more and more.

Set it Off EP now available on iTunes!

Hello Hello, Despite the fact that we, as a band, would not be out of place hijacking locomotives on horseback, or perhaps invading Denmark in a Saxon longship (or any number of other outdated pillaging ventures), we all love technology: Geoff takes pictures, Stevens has an army of effects pedals, Matt and I play the videogames, Jerry has his own virtual barbershop, and Smitty had read through the internet twice. That being said, our shiny new EP has been available exclusively at our local appearances; until now.

The Whalewatchers are happy to announce that you favorite named-after-a-marine-mammal rock and roll is now available at a fine internet retailer near you! 'Set it Off,' our new-ish EP is purchasable through iTunes, eMusic, Lala, Amazon, Shockhound, and coming soon to Rhapsody. So now there is no excuse! Pick up the new EP, and please please leave a review.

Hugs and Kisses, Thurston and the Ww.
